My daughter has received treatment from Shabnam Pourhassani on a few occasions and I consider her practice an essential health care component. The treatment I sought for my nine year old from Ms. Pourhassani was in conjunction with other prescription medication. My daughter was seen at a local urgent care for a severe cold sore outbreak, an upper respiratory infection and seasonal allergies. She was in quite a bit of pain and just miserable. She was nervous about receiving acupuncture and did not want to go anywhere after waiting for hours at the urgent care the previous day. Ms. Pourhassani’s office immediately put her at ease, the treatment center is peaceful and centered on healing. I think this is an important distinction to make because so often the experience of going to the Dr. can be stressful, especially for children.
Apart from the environment, Ms. Pourhassani has an incredible ability to relate to children, and parents. She’s calming and patient and constantly reassuring. She also allowed my daughter to have an input in her treatment. During her treatment my daughter’s congestion improved and she actually fell asleep. I highly recommend Ms. Pourhassani to my friends and their children.
